The PMPA Management Update Committee invites you to join us for the 2026 PMPA Management Update Conference, March 5–7, at the OMNI Charlotte Hotel in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina. This conference is your opportunity to connect, collaborate, and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities shaping the precision machining industry.  This year’s program offers something for everyone in your organization, from emerging leaders to seasoned executives.

 The schedule is packed with presentations driven by professional experts like Ryan Avery, who will challenge you to “Stop Being a Leader, Start Being THE Leader,” as well as Connor Lokar (PMPA’s trusted economist) of ITR Economics, who will deliver critical insights into market and economic trends.  Learn from sessions on communicating with your team, hiring best practices, evolving AI, and addressing mental health at work.  Participate in interactive breakout discussions led by industry leaders and PMPA members.

A Message from Tanya DiSalvo, PMPA’s Newly Elected President

 

 

Fellow PMPA Members,

 

As I begin this new chapter with PMPA, I want to extend my sincere thanks to our immediate past president, Brian Adams, and to all those who have led before me. Since 1933, their steady guidance and commitment have positioned the PMPA for continued strength and relevance.  You could feel the pride in the room as the Wrenn & Eighmy families were recognized at this year’s Annual Meeting for their multigenerational contributions to this organization. Acknowledging our dedicated PMPA staff is key— their professionalism, energy, and unwavering support are what keep our association running smoothly and effectively every day.

It is a true honor to serve as your next President of the Precision Machined Products Association. For 92 years, this association has long stood as a trusted community for those who value precision, integrity, and progress.  As a third-generation business owner, it is impossible not to feel the magnitude of this outstanding responsibility.  I am proud to carry that legacy forward.

Looking ahead, I am excited by the opportunities before us. We are part of an industry that is evolving rapidly, and PMPA’s role has never been more critical. My goal this year is to foster even greater engagement — connecting members to resources and to solutions that help our businesses thrive. I look forward to working together to expand our workforce initiatives, strengthen our technical expertise, and amplify the voice of precision machining across the country.

I have high expectations for the year ahead — not just in terms of growth, but in the sense of collaboration, innovation, and pride we share as members of this great association. “Better Together,” we will continue to build a strong PMPA and a stronger industry. The future is bright.  I am inspired by the energy and expertise within our membership and look forward to working together to build upon our collective success.

This group’s continued commitment to excellence drives my excitement for what lies ahead, and I am proud to lead and serve this exceptional community of manufacturers.

Attendance at the Annual Meeting not only allows our members to come together to learn how management techniques, succession planning and current economic climate can benefit their organization, it is also about the networking and the opportunity to meet new members who share the same challenges as you.

The Annual Awards Banquet that culminates the Annual Meeting weekend is also a time to recognize and acknowledge those stand-out members who have gone above and beyond the duties of being a PMPA member.

Gold Micrometer requirements state that the recipient is someone who has actively served the Association and has been in the Precision Machined Parts Industry 40 years.

Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award
The Merit Award is the association’s highest award, conferred only upon recommendation of the Executive Committee. First presented in 1934, the Merit Award recognizes the recipient’s contributions and continued service for the benefit of the Association and the Industry above and beyond the duties of any appointed or elected association office. Presented only when an individual has clearly met the requirements; the award is not given every year. In recognition of Frank T. McGinnis who served the Association as Executive Vice President from 1952 to 1992, the Executive Committee in 1993 renamed the Merit Award the Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award.
